How To Make Boba With Cornstarch

So, I hear you want to make boba with cornstarch! You’ve come to the right place. Making boba is easy and rewarding, especially if you follow my recipe.

Cornstarch - 6/10 cup / ~75 g Brown sugar - 1/4 cup / ~50 g Water - 1/4 cup / 60 ml Light corn syrup (optional) - 1 tsp.

Step 1

Cook the sugar, starch & water mixture in a medium pot. First, add water, then sugar, and stir until it is dissolved. Add a quarter of the cornstarch, and stir consistently until it thickens.

Add the remaining starch & light corn syrup to the mixture you just made. Stir until mixed and let it cool.

Step 3

Form boba pearls by making logs or cubes first. Then, roll it out to pearl with your palms.

Step 4

Let's cook boba pearls in a pot. Once cooked, strain them. Fill a bowl with cold water and put the pearls in. Wait a few minutes and strain.

Flavor your boba pearls on a warm pan by covering them with syrup.
